Theme: Hippie Day
Kinders learned what a "Hippie" is/was. Thank you Ms. Cushman for the informative Community Meeting. We were even entertained by 2 high school friends who played and sang songs from the Hippie generation. Congratulations to our friends Chase and Jaxson for being recognized during Community Meeting.

Once again, the Superkids reading program has transformed a part of our classroom. Writers' Garden has been transformed into a note writing extravaganza. With donations from parents we have a wide range of note cards, papers. and envelopes. Expressive writing is a functional writing skill that Kinders will use for the rest of their lives.
The Northeast Kingdom is very lucky to have access to Catamount Arts School Series. Danville Kinders were very lucky to have been able to go to all 4 School Series this year. Cultural events bring a diversified view into the eyes of 5 and 6 year olds. Today we were able to compare the African drummers that came to school last month with the Japanese Taiko drummers. Kinders noticed many differences between the two styles, but enjoy both styles equally. 2 of our friends were selected to go up on stage to participate and learn the style of Taiko drumming.
