Our third cultural field trip sponsored by Catamount Arts was to watch and listen to local musicians perform their talents. Danville School is represented by Ava and Liza. Way to go!
Here is another example of connecting our learning from the Superkids reading program with real life experiences. Unit 12 presented a non fiction text "I Sell". This text was teaching children about items that people sell around the world. So our dramatic theater was transformed into a vendor: I sell. Kinders can sell items and exchange play money for goods. This is another big hit from the Superkids reading program.
Today we took a trip to the Fairbanks Museum in St. Johnsbury for a science lesson about simple machines. We learned about wheels, ramps, pulleys, screws, wedges, and balance scales. We liked getting our hands on all of these simple machines and can't wait to create some of our own in our classroom.
