As often as possibly, Mrs. Remick and Ms. Copen mix up the Kinders so that they have time to socialize and interact with their peers in both classrooms. Today was our first Mix it Up.

Our first science unit is off and running. We have 2 monarch caterpillars in our classroom, living in a butterfly garden. We explored our school grounds for milk weed and possibly find more monarch caterpillars. We did not find any, but we did bring in some fresh milkweed for our two new friends.
Kinders are so very busy. During our STEAM exploration they get to self select what interests them. Here we have art work, imaginative play, engineering with Legos. Most importantly: communication with peers.
Today was a success. Many smiles and laughing could be seen and heard in both Kindergarten classrooms. In this photo all Kinders gathered in Ms. Copen's classroom for a read aloud time with a follow up activity to introduce using markers and writing in Kindergarten. Then... we did Go Noodle! Ask your child "What is Go Noodle?"
