Our technology use is up and running. Kinders have learned how to use our classroom ActivBoard, touchscreens and iPads as learning tools not toys. Our classroom is conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking. Kinders have many choices of where and what works best for them to do their best work. Traditional tables and chairs work for some, but not for all. Flexible seating choices in our classroom are: buckets, clipboards, rugs, mats, floor and table, lap desks, laundry baskets.
Incorporating exercise and movement through out our school day makes students less fidgety and more focused on the learning. Exercise may have both a physiological and developmental impact on children's brains. Here is picture of our class during a Go Noodle brain break. Visit gonoodle.com
On Friday September 9th, we welcomed grandparents (or other special friends) to the Danville School by hosting an a mini Open House and a community snack. Enjoy the video!
